Before you order

A little measuring goes a long way.

Tell us about the area and what each layer needs to do.

Ask the team
  1. Decide what the material needs to do

A decorative top layer, a compacted sub-base and a mortar ingredient have different requirements. Start with the intended use.

  2. Measure area and depth

Share the length, width and planned depth. For sub-bases, confirm the required depth and specification with your installer.

  3. Check the delivery space

Let us know the postcode, access width and where materials can be placed. The team will confirm arrangements before you order.

Good to know

A few useful answers.

A little practical detail before you choose your materials.

Are building sand and sharp sand interchangeable?

They have different textures and uses. Check the product details and the mix or bedding specification for your project rather than substituting one for the other.

How much aggregate will I need?

Quantity depends on the area, depth and material. Bring your measurements and we can help you discuss the available pack sizes.

Will decorative stone look exactly like the photograph?

Natural stone can vary in colour and size, and can look different when wet. Photographs are a guide; viewing available material in person can help you choose.
